Building Dreams

From the first moment they step onto campus to the day they graduate, our students deserve the finest educational experience we can give them. The Building Together Campaign is about ensuring that BT’s world-class goals and expectations are matched with spaces and resources that are second to none.

Building Possibilities

Every student. Every mind. Every heart. Known. Inspired. Challenged. The mission of BT is the heartbeat of this project. Frequently Asked Questions

What does this campus transformation project entail?

East Campus: We are replacing our current Lower School facilities with a new, state-of-the-art, 50,000 sq. ft. Lower School building, and a new and vastly improved gymnasium serving Lower School and Middle School. This dynamic, connective addition will also facilitate a new main entrance, as well as floor plans more conducive to the range of activities on campus.

Systems and infrastructure upgrades: Major improvements will include advanced classroom technologies, much-needed mechanical upgrades, enhanced airflow and air exchange systems, and telecommunications infrastructure to support learning.

Community spaces: We are creating new, vibrant, welcoming spaces on campus to support learning, collaboration, and connection outside of the classroom. This includes the new, central Debbie and Brian Wood Atrium.

What is the timeline of the project?

Demolition of the current Lower School began in July. The campus transformation will span the 2024-2025 school year and the fall of 2025. We anticipate the project will be completed by spring 2026.

What is the budget for the project?

This will be an investment, in the area of $25 million, in our learning spaces, technology, infrastructure, and safety. It is a project that is years in the making. We are in the position to move forward today thanks to foundational donations from BT Legacy Families, our Board of Trustees, and the BT Foundation Board.

How is campus safety being improved?

Safety and security will be at the forefront of all campus improvements and top-of-mind throughout the construction process. BT is working with security consultant Jim Dale to take everything possible into consideration.
